First Fridays at SEVEN STORIES brings you another pop-up shop within a shop! For *ONE NIGHT ONLY* on March 7th starting at 7pm, we will be turning down the lights and turning up the music!!!

We've brought in fabulous area bartender KC Cocktail Co to serve up cocktails, mocktails, beer, and wine... So you can shop, chat, drink, and dance all in one venue!

Pre-registration using this link helps us plan and prepare our vendors. We return the favor by covering your 1st drink and having a bag of swag ready and waiting for you at the front door!! Book page crowns and bowler hats continue to be a popular swag item that you'll get to pick out as you enter!

REGISTER NOW with this link! You may procrastinate and pay at the door but you will not receive a swag bag. We will still honor your first drink ticket. You get **the best value** though by registering BEFORE MARCH 7th using this page.

ADDITIONAL DRINK TICKETS may be purchase at the door. We follow all applicable laws and, yes, our bartender is licensed and insured. Drink service is from 7 to 11pm.

LOCATION? Seven Stories is on the South side of Johnson Drive across from Brothers Records at 12115 Johnson Drive next to Smoke N Go. All in Shawnee, just down the street from the Quick Trip on the corner of Nieman and Johnson.

PARKING is plentiful for this event. Not just in front or on the side of the building but there is a completely empty lot owned by our building, just across the street.

COAT CHECK is straight to the back of the store near the bar. BATHROOMS are also straight to the back and just to the left as you pass through the door.

FINAL NOTE: We strongly encourage tipping not just our bartender but any and all of our vendors. Why? Because all of these professionals are working hard to pull together a fun night with great quality product under one roof. That deserves a round of applause and the way you do that is by purchasing or by tipping, or both. Please and thank you.

Good manners book
Format: Paperback
Good anecdotes and lessons in this book. I wanted to get a book to read to my 4 year old. This book keeps her attention and she likes it. This book talks about many subjects: Proper etiquette for please, thank you, your welcome, being a good guest, helping out with parents, friends, teachers and neighbors, etc. It feels a little long and a lot foing on with each page, but overall a good quality book. Would buy again.

Fun Lessons
Format: Paperback
You can never go wrong with reading a Richard Scarry book. This book teaches manners to young children very well. My young granddaughter has started speaking in complete sentences, and she is using please and thank you. This book is a good introduction for using these words.

Fun way to learn good behavior!
Format: Paperback
Good value for the price, you get 7 short stories with this book & the illustrations are very well done. If your child's attention span can't handle the entire book you can still manage a few. Lots of funny action pictures to hold their interest, my 4 1/2 yr old son flips through the book on his own just to look at the pictures and they are descriptive enough to follow the story without reading the words. It's a favorite book to listen to because he is of age to get in trouble and to be held accountable, so he likes to see that he is not the only one. His favorite story is Pig Will and Pig Won't. Hint: Say "I won't" with an angry piggy snort! This cracks kids up, they will anticipate the words and snort along with you "I won't"! Sometimes works to change a defiant or lazy mood when I ask him to do something, I will ask "is my D. a pig will or pig won't today?".. helps to snort a little! Can't overuse it though..

too advanced for 18month old, but great book!
Format: Paperback
I love Richard Scarry! I bought this book for my 18 month old, who we are trying to teach to say please and thank you. Unfortunately this book is just way too advanced for her. It's full on stories rather than short pieces. I know, the suggested age was older but that is true for a lot of books that really can be enjoyed by younger tots. This one will be put away for at least another 6 months, and then kept on the shelf of "appropriate" but not in her board book box. However, I really like that she can now say "Lowly" :) Richard Scarry is one of my favorite authors/illustrators from childhood and I'm glad to have this book. It just is beyond the reach of my LO at this age.
