The PRS S2 Standard 24 Satin takes the core concepts of the S2 lineup—playability, reliability, and tonal versatility—and applies them to a stripped-back format that prioritizes performance. Designed for musicians who demand consistency and a no-nonsense feel, this model merges traditional tonewoods with modern electronics and refined build quality.
At the center of its tonal identity is a solid mahogany body and set mahogany neck, a combination favored for its warmth, sustain, and midrange definition. The Pattern Regular profile offers a comfortable grip across all registers, while the 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with a 10" radius promotes smooth navigation for both chordal and lead playing. Bird inlays provide a signature PRS aesthetic without compromising the guitar’s utilitarian focus.
Electronics consist of a pair of USA-made 58/15 LT humbuckers, engineered for dynamic clarity and low-output sweetness. The control setup includes a master volume and tone with push-pull coil tap, as well as a 5-way blade switch that unlocks a wide range of single-coil and humbucking sounds. This layout is ideal for players who cover multiple tonal bases without swapping instruments.
The PRS tremolo and low-mass locking tuners round out the hardware, offering smooth vibrato and rock-solid tuning. Finished in satin McCarty Tobacco Sunburst, this version allows the mahogany grain to subtly peek through while giving the guitar a warm, played-in aesthetic.
