Tasting Notes

Appearance

Pennon Hill Pinot Noir 2025 presents a bright, vibrant ruby with excellent clarity — the hallmark of a classic Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir blended from Red Hill, Merricks and Tuerong sub-regional vineyards, hand sorted, wild fermented and matured for 9 months in French oak barriques and puncheons with 20% new oak. Luminous and immediately inviting in the glass.

Aroma

Red and black cherry lead the aromatics with a generous, lifted complexity — sarsaparilla and cherry cola add a distinctive, playful depth that is immediately captivating, while summer pudding delivers a rich, dark berry sweetness. Baking spice and star anise weave through with a warming, aromatic complexity, and leaf litter with savoury earthy notes add a classic Mornington Pinot character and terroir-driven depth. A nose of genuine regional expression, generosity and Pennon Hill craft.

Palate

Refined yet generous on the palate — cherry and raspberry lead with a bright, vibrant freshness, while blood orange adds a lively, citrus-edged complexity through the mid-palate. Chai spice delivers a warming, aromatic depth, and the ripe tannins and integrated oak are beautifully supported by seamless bright acidity that carries the wine to a long, savoury finish of classic Mornington Pinot quality. The 8% carbonic maceration component adds a distinctive, fruit-forward freshness and complexity that elevates the blend with genuine character and depth.

Pairs With

A natural match for roast duck, duck confit, pinot-braised lamb shanks or a classic Mornington Peninsula cheese board — equally outstanding alongside mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, seared tuna, charcuterie or a classic French-inspired bistro spread. The red and black cherry, raspberry, blood orange, chai spice and savoury finish make this one of the most classic and rewarding Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noirs available. Serve at 16–18°C. Enjoy now or cellar with confidence for 5–8 years.

Poorly written
Format: Paperback
I had to get this for my class. I wish I had a different textbook because it is poorly written, does not explain details, hard to follow the sentences in a certain sections, A LOT of typos (totally misspelled name of the disease). I don't think this is very good textbook material.

Informational book
Format: Paperback
Received the book in a timely manner before my semester started. The nursing policy book is required in my master/ doctorate program. The book is thorough and sheds light on policy making in a nursing perspective. A good reference book to have after the semester when you start looking into policy making.
