The Vinny Reverb combo is built with all handwired circuitry and an all-tube signal path. Point-to-point construction on terminal strips ties this amp together down to the last detail. Onboard, the Vinny uses a JJ 6V6 power tube that functions as a voltage regulator along with a JJEl84 power tube in tandem with a 12AX7 and 12DW7 pair of preamp tubes. Altogether, these electronics produce a crisp, Benson sound perfect for any occasion.
At its compact and size and responsive tonal profile, the Vinny allows for playing at a wide range of settings. Just as ready for stage and studio as bedroom playing, this amp plays with variable wattage, ranging from a quarter-watt to five watts. This amp's single ten-inch Celestion Greenback speaker is configured with an output of eight ohms and is housed in a Baltic birch cabinet, weighing roughly twenty pounds. An extra flourish that appears on this Vinny Reverb is – you guessed it – its reverb effect. The Vinny's Tall Bird-style spring reverb plays with classic spring character for cool splashes to cavernous echoes of sound.
