Its inverted top makes for more filter surface area, resulting in longer service intervals, while reinforced metal provides maximum strength to prevent filter collapse. The smooth one-piece sealed housing, constructed of heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), features our patented (US PAT 9440175) filter-to-housing interface. Its innovative design minimizes the total number of parts, making for an easy installation. A large, clear sight window allows for hassle-free filter inspection, without having to disassemble your system. The housing connect to the factory air inlet scoop, using no additional hardware, and features an optional auxiliary air inlet that pulls in additional air. A plug is provided to close the auxiliary opening. This system features a high quality, computer-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit. Its XLPE material is heat soak resistant and extremely durable. Stainless-steel T-bolt clamps are included for strength, and a premium bellows silicone coupling allows for ample flexibility. Works great never had a problem

I've been using this mobile one in my 2005 Mercedes kompressor C230 w203 1.8 engine for about 18 years and never had a problem so I will continue to use it. The price was very good compared to other places but I did have to order one extra quart, I don't know why they don't make this mobile one in a six quart jug.

Great for my hot rod!

Perfect oil for my hot rod! Add a bottle of zinc and you get great low temp flow as well as good heat protection. As a 0W it flows quickly for good start up protection and the 40W means I get good protection as temps rise. My car has a flat tappet hydraulic cam so I add a bottle of zinc. Has worked great!

Yes, I know what the label says. “European Car Formula.”
Yes, I put it in a 2002 Subaru WRX bugeye with an EJ257 block and EJ205 heads.
And yes—this oil absolutely slaps.
This engine is not stock, not delicate, and definitely not living an easy life. It sees spirited driving, boost, and the occasional questionable decision. After switching to Mobil 1 0W-40, cold starts are smoother, oil pressure is rock solid, and the motor just feels happier. No weird noises, no drama, no oil consumption surprises.
The viscosity is perfect for a performance Subaru build, especially if you’re running tighter tolerances or want strong protection under heat and load. It’s thick enough when hot, flows great when cold, and inspires confidence every time I turn the key.
Is it technically “European”? Sure.
Does my Subaru care? Not even a little.
If you’re running a built engine, turbo setup, or just want a proven, high-quality oil that punches above its weight, this stuff earns its reputation. My bugeye may not be European, but it’s living its best life on this oil.
Would absolutely buy again—passport not required.
