The Maton EBG808 Artist is a powerhouse in all ways. Built with their signature keyhole headstock, gold hardware and beautiful Sitka/Blackwood tonewood combination; this 808 is not only nice to look at, it stuns sonically as well!
The Sitka Spruce and Blackwood tonewood combination creates a sweet sounding instrument with articulate velocity control mixed with a rich sounding complex high end with a defined low end!
Play for hours with ease, the Maton "C" shaped neck profile is comfortable and fits perfectly, their 1.736 nut width feels like a happy medium versatile in-between for American players that want to find a middle ground between 1 11/16" and 1 3/4".
The AP5 Pro Pickup System includes a separate microphone and piezo pickup, both of which can be blended via their individual controls. The system is designed to capture the true sound of the instrument utilizing the adjustable cardioid mic, which is mounted directly to the pre-amp, and the unique piezo system to permit easy final tweaking of microphone position to suit the individual artist's style.
