RCE TCT features

Spyder’s Tungsten Carbide-Tipped (TCT) hole saws cut more materials up to 5x faster and make up to 10x more cuts — lasting longer than conventional bi-metal hole saws. TCT hole saws drill through wood, MDF, fiber cement board, porous concrete block, ceramic wall tile, plastic/PVS and more. Use with Spyder’s Rapid Core Eject™ arbor system to remove cores without prying (drill hole, press button, pull back the hole saw, and eject the core), cut at an angle, and enlarge existing holes using two adapters on one pilot bit. All TCT, Tarantula, and Bi-Metal hole saws fit on Spyder Rapid Core Eject™ arbors and pilot bits (sold separately), and on universal hole saw arbors. Spyder’s TCT hole saw is the pro’s choice for innovation, high performance, speed, and versatility — drill more holes in more materials in less time. Not for use in hammer mode, or for drilling metal, wood with nails, harder, abrasive materials, or block/brick/tile applications with a Mohs hardness of 6 or greater. Always use a drill with a support handle.

Warning

To reduce the risk of injury, read the instruction manual and follow the safety regulations of the power tool you will be using with your Spyder accessory. Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as a dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, protective apparel and hearing protection should be used in appropriate conditions to reduce the risk of personal injury. WARNING: Operating the tool without wearing proper protection may result in serious injury. To reduce the risk of explosion, electric shock, and property damage, always check the work area for hidden gas pipes, electrical wires, and water pipes when making blind and/or plunge cuts. Before each use, check that the hole saw is free from damage and excessive wear. Discard hole saw if damage is noticed or suspected as this can cause excessive friction, saw binding, kickback, create dangerous flying debris and/or create other unsafe situations that may cause injury. Hex-based pilot bits are intended to be used with hex-based arbor adapters and hole saws. Use a pilot bit which is correctly sized for the hole saw being used. Always be sure that the pilot bit extends beyond the cutting edge of the saw by at least ¼”; for deep cut hole saws, the pilot bit should extend at least 1” beyond the cutting edge of the saw. Follow the recommended operating speed for the saw size and the material being cut. Use the proper pilot bit and hole saw for your material. Only drill materials that are listed on the product label. Use a drill motor that is equipped with a support handle. Start cutting with a light forward pressure. For cuts that are square to the surface, start the cutting process with the saw square to the material being cut so all teeth begin to cut at the same time. This will help prevent premature wear and damage to the saw. Feeding the saw in and out or using a slight circular rocking motion may assist in clearing material shavings from the hole being cut. When sawing in wood, finish the hole from the opposite side to prevent splintering. Once the pilot bit has broken through the other side, you can use this hole to guarantee you are in line with where you have already started cutting.

For TCT saws recommended for use on concrete products, brick, or tile materials – make sure to check the Mohs hardness of the material being drilled. Materials like poured concrete, some brick/block, floor tile, ceramic tile, porcelain, etc. may have a Mohs hardness of higher than 6, and the TCT hole saw is not recommend for use in these drilling applications.

Good book but not shipment safe.
Format: Board book
I love the book but the shipment left bumps on all corners. It saddened me :( considering an international shipment they should've been more careful.

Fun animal book with Eric Carle illustrations!
Format: Board book
Some of the noises the animals make feel a little strange, but my toddler loves to push the buttons! I do like that it says the name of the animal before making the sound the animal makes - gives some vocabulary practice when my daughter is reading independently.

All the grandkids enjoy these, of various ages.
Format: Board book
The grandkids always enjoy Eric Carle sound books. The older one reads the stories and the younger one likes to just push the buttons and listen and then say what the animal is. The sound is always nice and clear and the photos on the buttons are easily recognizable. As an added bonus these were offered at a great holiday price.
