YAMAHA’S UNIQUE ARMODYNAMIC™ DRIVER EMPLOYING ZYLON™
With a name derived from the Italian term “armonia,” referring to musical “harmony,” the ARMODYNAMIC™ driver was newly developed specifically for the YH-C3000. The driver utilizes a unique diaphragm molded into a three-layer structure featuring composite materials such as paper and resin, and includes PBO fiber ZYLON™, the same material also used in diaphragms of Yamaha's HiFi flagship speakers. By harmonizing the important elements for a diaphragm, such as light weight, rigidity and optimal internal loss, the driver achieves exceptionally smooth sound with high resolution and fast response.

NEWLY DEVELOPED DRIVER UNIT INCORPORATING PROPRIETARY TECHNOLOGY
In order to properly harmonize the sound with the newly developed diaphragm, the driver unit has also been carefully conceived and developed. The ventilation on the back and the patented Y-shaped reinforced mesh damper provide extraordinary clarity and minimal distortion while maintaining low-frequency volume. In addition, the pure iron pole piece, which is crucial to the speaker unit's driving force, enhances the specially fast sound response and powerful punchiness.
WOODEN HOUSING FOR RICH, NATURALLY RESONANT SOUND
The wooden housing of the YH-C3000 is made of premium-quality beech, which is also employed in Yamaha’s grand pianos. Being light in weight, highly rigid, and achieving a natural and uncolored sound, beech wood fully maximizes the strength of the ARMODYNAMIC™ driver, contributing to its excellent sound resolution and speedy response.

HIGH-QUALITY WOODEN HOUSING INFUSED WITH FINE CRAFTSMANSHIP
Being natural, organic materials, each type of wood has its own personality, and it takes a wealth of experience and skilled craftsmanship to identify and shape it into a headphone housing. The wooden housing of the YH-C3000 is crafted with long-standing expertise and technical know-how, applied throughout the processes from wood procurement and processing to painting and polishing. With the painting in particular, the craftsmen carefully sand, paint, and polish multiple layers over an extended period, resulting in a beautiful black mirrored finish befitting a fine musical instrument, while still remaining semi-transparent, allowing you to enjoy the formation of the natural wood grain beneath.
HANDMADE BY SKILLED CRAFTSMEN. SPECIAL FACTORY FOR FLAGSHIP MODELS
All parts of the YH-C3000, such as the black mirrored wooden housings and the driver unit, are extremely delicate, and its manufacturing and assembly require a very high level of technical skill and precision. For this reason, this model is produced at Yamaha's own factory in Japan, which produces flagship models of Yamaha's grand pianos and audio products. Under strict quality control, the headphones are carefully and exquisitely assembled by skilled craftsmen having extensive expertise in both musical instruments and audio.

TWO-LAYER HEADBAND AND SMOOTH STEPLESS SLIDER
The headband employs a structure inherited from Yamaha's flagship YH-5000SE headphones, comprised of a solid stainless steel arm, with lateral pressure fully optimized to reduce any burden or discomfort on the ears and head. The head pad, which comes into direct contact with the head, features three-dimensional weaving of moderate thickness, fitting flexibly and smoothly dispersing surface pressure. In addition, you can finely adjust the stepless slider to arrive at the most comfortable, personal fit.
COMFORTABLE LIGHTWEIGHT BODY WITH INCLINED SWIVEL MECHANISM
To eliminate bias in localization from air leakage and ensure rich volume in the low range, it is essential that the headphone housing fits snugly into the space behind the ear. The design of the YH-C3000 smoothly stabilizes surface pressure by tilting the swivel’s rotation axis to provide a degree of vertical mobility, firmly fitting the headphones to the ears and head. Combined with a sealed yet lightweight body of 330 grams, it provides comfortable, fatigue-free listening even for long periods of time.
EARPADS PROVIDE COMFORTABLE FIT AND DEEP IMMERSION
In order to attain the highly immersive sound we aimed to give the YH-C3000, the headphones come with dedicated ear pads that have been developed through numerous prototypes and extensive testing. The materials that touch the ear are made of high-quality domestic silk protein leather that is comfortable to the touch and possesses excellent airtightness, with cushioning material comprised of memory foam. With this, you can fully enjoy the remarkable sonic density and the vast amount of audio information contained inside the music. In addition, by improving the grip and stability of wearing, they provide a highly immersive feeling that makes you forget that you are wearing them. Moreover, the deep crimson inner mesh perfectly complements the black mirrored finish of the housing, creating an exquisite appearance like a fine musical instrument.
