TIME OF THE SEASON Illustrated lyricI have completed a few art projects connected to the brilliant classic 1960's band, The Zombies. Here is one of them: I asked Rod Argent, Colin Blunstone and Chris White to write out specific lines from songs they wrote for The Zombies to use in collages I made to accompany copies of their handwritten lyrics. I made images for the 12 songs of their classic album 'Odessey and Oracle' and 12 other songs from various eras. This one is Time Of The Season
I have completed a few art projects connected to the brilliant classic 1960's band, The Zombies. Here is one of them:
I asked Rod Argent, Colin Blunstone and Chris White to write out specific lines from songs they wrote for The Zombies to use in collages I made to accompany copies of their handwritten lyrics. I made images for the 12 songs of their classic album 'Odessey and Oracle' and 12 other songs from various eras.
This one is Time Of The Season by Rod Argent the final track from the 1968 album 'Odessey and Oracle' - another song with a famously recognisable intro. Terry Quirk, the artist who created the album cover, gave me his permission to use details of his work.
My original collages are made with fabrics, cards and found objects.
There are a total of 24 different song images printed onto Arena Milk 300 gsm A3 paper.
