Welcome to the new Empyre. Joining the Kscope family, British band Empyre bring their distinctive brand of dark rock to a wider audience. The band blend their huge riffs with deeply personal lyrics, brought to life by the impassioned vocals of frontman Henrik Steenholdt. Bursting straight out of the gates with the title track 'Relentless', the catchy new single has Steenholdt using his emotive lyrics to comment on the 'survival of the fittest' attitude in today's world. Backed by an intense instrumental, the song oozes Empyre's trademark atmospheric attack, sometimes warm and enveloping, but with a hint of seething and contempt. Fans of Porcupine Tree, Haken, Green Carnation and even Muse will find much to love in Empyre's brand of atmospheric rock, the dark and introspective edge topped with Steenholdt's richly recognisable vocal. Relentless as an album ranges from "triumphant, chest beating rock" (BBC introducing) to introspective, emotive cuts showing the band's breadth and proficiency in embracing light and shade. Since their debut album Self Aware in 2019, Empyre have won Classic Rock Magazine's "Track Of The Week" on three separate occasions, performed sets before legends Eagles, Shinedown and Alter Bridge at Arena Birmingham and been one of very few rock acts to be featured on 'Whispering' Bob Harris' "Under The Apple Tree" Sessions. Classic Rock Magazine have awarded them a 'High Hopes' feature, Kerrang! Described their sound as "slick, vast and like the music was written with the help of an architectural blue print for an arena". Planet Rock heralded the band as 'Ones to Watch', playlisting the tracks 'New Republic' and 'My Bad' and on the strength of the 2020 Winter's End performance immediately booked them for the Planet Rockstock 2021 main stage. Known for an unflinching work ethic and a darkly self-deprecating sense of humour, with Relentless, Empyre have proved they have what it takes to stand out from the crowd and deliver music that offers an engaging, if unsettling mix of melancholy, hope, and hopelessness, often within the same song... This limited edition of Relentless is presented in clear red vinyl.

So, if you're buying this, just know your dog's style of play and how they treat soft toys, then purchase with reasonable expectations. I knew my wild man would destroy this, he destroys the tough made stuffies, but he has fun doing it and you can't beat the $3 price. Overall it's a cute toy at a good price. It's fun to play fetch with it in the house, but I wouldn't tug at it. Playing tug could rip it.

After a good scrub, the dogs love them!

These gumby toys are flexible rubber, and exactly what you'd expect for the price. I ordered three to replace two that had been gifts well loved by my dogs. I read reviews mentioning smell, but wasn't really prepared for it when the package arrived. They all arrived zip tied to a paperboard backing. They all smelled like a fine fragrance designed for robots - like burning motor oil with floral undertones - and the zip ties were stained a sickly green wherever they touched Gumby. Initially, my dogs wanted nothing to do with them, even after a good scrub. I left them to air out in the shed for a few days and then ran them through the dishwasher (without cleanser!) and they were good to go. My dogs love these toys. I know they're not going to last long! I know the arms will get yanked or chewed off first, and then the corner of Gumby's head will go missing. Eventually, his head will be ripped into tiny pieces and strewn about my living room. I know that, sooner or later (and probably sooner!), Gumby will be little more than a torso with weird square legs. And that's okay, because that means my dogs enjoyed the toy. People complaining about a $7 flexible rubber toy not being appropriate for heavy chewers don't understand what dogs need, or what dog toys are for. Part of the satisfaction that chewing brings for dogs is also shredding. Dogs destroy stuff. Some more than others. It's what they do. No toy will last forever if it's used! But I have five dogs, including bully breeds and a Saint Bernard, plus two occasional visitors, and these toys have lasted longer than expected (even if their arms are off in minutes!) The dogs in the pictures are 90 and 120 pounds, modeling both a well loved older Gumby and a brand new one.
