Fender has continued their acclaimed Vintera collection once again to deliver beloved models with vintage specs and modern playability. The Vintera III Mid '60s Jaguar electric guitar, offered here in a dazzling Sherwood Green Metallic finish, is a faithful ode to an era that solidified offsets in guitar history, boldly capturing the aesthetics, tones, and feels that attracted musicians of all styles to the singular jangle of the Jaguar. Whether it's the first Jaguar or the next in a growing collection of offsets, this mid '60s iteration is sure to amaze.

This vintage-spec Jaguar is crafted from a solid piece of alder to form the iconic offset silhouette, a tonewood that offers a beefy low and mid-range, cutting through a mix with resonant clarity without foregoing a bright high-end. Finished in a gloss polyester Sherwood Green Metallic with matching headcap, adorned with a three-ply mint green pickguard and nickel/chrome hardware, the retro visuals match the throwback thesis that emanates in every articulate detail.

Connected to the body is a maple neck in the mid '60s "C" profile—smooth and supportive as it widens slightly towards the twelfth fret. A round-laminated rosewood fingerboard is attached to the neck to offer vintage durability and comfort, lined with 22 vintage tall sized frets across the 24" scale length for more height when bending notes in any range. Guided by aged-white pearloid dot inlays and white side dots for improved precision, offset enjoyers and Jaguar novices alike will feel at home from the very first strum.

The throwback recreation continues with a 6-saddle vintage-style adjustable bridge for optimal string spacing and intonation. Specific to this version of the Jaguar is an underside bridge mute which can be activated to provide semi-muffled staccato timbres that defiantly jangle in classic Fender offset fashion. From here, the strings feed into the signature "floating" tremolo tailpiece, supplying warble and vibrato effects for surfy trills, shoegaze nosedives, and all pitch modulating necessities galore. To ensure all tunings are in check, Fender vintage-style tuning machines are installed for ease of use with regular adjustments and routine maintenance.

Projecting the singular sound of the Vintera III Jaguar are the vintage-style mid '60s single-coil pickups with accompanying lead and rhythm circuits. The single-coil pickups found in the neck and bridge position support the unmistakable jangle and shimmering brightness, paired with a biting attack that makes the model so applicable for a multitude of genres. These pickups are controlled by different switches and dials when utilizing the circuit switch found just about the neck pickup, changing the tonal qualities between rhythm and lead sounds. When in rhythm mode (switch in up position), the guitar produces a warmer, richer tone that is adjusted by roller knobs for master volume and master tone. When the lead circuit is activated (switch in down position) the sonic spectrum opens up, allowing more high-end to emit from resonant leads, dialed in by master volume and tone knobs, and configured by two switches to engage each pickup. Additionally, a third switch in the pickup configuration section actives a bass-cut "strangle" circuit, applying a high-pass filter to pronounce the high-end ever further. For the offset curious and seasoned Jaguar enjoyers, this Vintera III mid '60s iteration is the sweet spot for vintage, vibey tone.

The Vintera III is a vintage influenced dream, and the Mid '60s Jaguar Electric Guitar in Sherwood Green Metallic delivers accurately.

Cute for small dogs, but my Malinois made it extinct in minutes
I ordered this plush toy for my Belgian Malinois, and I went into it fully aware of what I was doing. With my dog, “plush toy” basically translates to “short lived prey simulation,” and I’m honestly okay with that because it helps her satisfy that prey drive in a safe, controlled way. She is always under direct supervision when she has toys like this. The toy is cute, and the concept is fun. The wings and textures are engaging, and I can see how the squeaker/crinkle would be exciting for a small or medium dog that actually plays with plush toys instead of immediately performing surgery on them. For my dog though, it was not durable in any sense of the word. Within about 30 seconds, she had both wings ripped off. Within five minutes, the entire thing was shredded and gutted. It did its job as an enrichment “destroy me” toy, but if you’re buying this expecting it to last, it won’t hold up to a strong chewer. It’s also not quite as plush and soft as it looks in the listing photos. It’s more on the lightweight side, which might be fine for smaller dogs, but it felt a bit less cozy than I expected. I’m giving it four stars because it is a cute toy and would probably be a fun, engaging option for the intended size range, especially dogs that aren’t power shredders. For large breeds or dogs with intense chewing styles (or Belgian Malinois energy), just know it’s going to be a very brief relationship.

Great dog toy
It's been played with and shook pretty good from a Border Collie and a poodle, no rips yet and it's been like a month.
