They arrived compressed but when you unwrap them they blow up to be a heavy duty pillow. Firm but not too firm. I don't like super soft pillows that you can roll up in a ball with one hand, I like a pillow that gives support and these do just that. They are cooling as well they are pretty for a pillow with the unique design. If you are in the market for a pillow and reading this THEN BUY THIS PILLOW & come back to tell me thank you. I promise you will NOT be disappointed. No I didn't get paid to say any of this. I wanted to give a honest review where it deserves one! You will not be disappointed!
