Introducing The Macallan Concept Number 2, the second release in the ground-breaking Concept Series from The Macallan. This unique single malt Scotch whisky continues the tradition of merging the worlds of whisky making and creative innovation, this time combining the artistry of whisky with the dynamic world of music.

The Macallan Concept Number 2 is crafted by Macallan Whisky Maker Steven Bremner, who drew inspiration from his passion for house music. This release is a harmonious blend of whiskies matured in sherry-seasoned American oak casks and ex-bourbon casks, before undergoing a final maturation in ex-bourbon casks—a process designed to emulate the layers and complexities of a musical track.

On the nose, Concept Number 2 presents a complex melody of sweet toffee and dried fruit, with undercurrents of rich, creamy vanilla and subtle hints of oak and spice, akin to the diverse layers in a musical composition. This builds into a crescendo of flavours on the palate, where apple and ripe pear dance with almond, cinnamon, and a touch of dark chocolate, creating a vibrant and textured taste experience.

Andy Greenberg is a GREAT storyteller and podcaster. Anything he writes is a must read. Tracers in the Dark was a super enjoyable, easy read. He covers, using people and stories, the basics of bitcoin and the people who try to follow the money to catch cybercriminals. I knew most (but not all) of the people and stories he covered, but Greenberg added a ton of detail I didn't know. He added timelines and color that fleshed out what happened, in each story and the overall timeline. It's a great, easy, read and I'm a better cybersecurity defender for having read it. Although don't read it for any super technical details. You're not going to learn the details of blockchain, bitcoin, or blockchain analysis...only how it's done, generally, and the people involved.
