Vintage Necklace with Yemeni Amulet, Silver and Antique Bakelite BeadsWhat an amazing necklace this is! It is made up of 10 oval or olive shaped and 2 tube shaped antique butterscotch phenolic resin beads. They test positive for bakelite with simichrome and have a lovely aged variation of color to them with darkening on the edges as would only come with age and exposure to heat and light. The bakelite beads are interspersed with silver beads which also have a lovely patina. The necklace is threaded onto twisted cotton
What an amazing necklace this is! It is made up of 10 oval or olive-shaped and 2 tube-shaped antique butterscotch phenolic resin beads. They test positive for bakelite with simichrome and have a lovely aged variation of color to them with darkening on the edges as would only come with age and exposure to heat and light. The bakelite beads are interspersed with silver beads which also have a lovely patina. The necklace is threaded onto twisted cotton or wool and the main pendant is a mixed metal Yemeni amulet or hirz. All in all a wonderful necklace that's guaranteed to turn heads. The necklace is in good vintage shape. Some of the silver beads have dings.

- The amulet is 5 x 2 cm (2 x 3/4") without dangles.
