Five Carats. The Most Dramatic Shape in Fine Jewelry. Certified.

The marquise cut is the most dramatic diamond shape in existence — a long, pointed ellipse with a silhouette that elongates the finger more dramatically than any other cut, creates the largest face-up appearance per carat of any diamond shape, and delivers a brilliance that is entirely its own. At 5.03 carats of H color and VS2 clarity, independently certified by the International Gemological Institute, this marquise is a center stone of extraordinary presence — a stone that will stop conversations, command attention, and look genuinely spectacular on the hand. This is the diamond for the woman who wants to be noticed.

The Specifications

  • Carat Weight: 5.03 Carats
  • Shape: Marquise Cut — A long, pointed ellipse with 56 facets; the most elongating diamond shape, creating the largest face-up appearance per carat of any cut
  • Color: H — Near-colorless; in a marquise cut, H color performs exceptionally well — the brilliant faceting pattern masks warmth effectively, and the stone appears white and brilliant in virtually any setting
  • Clarity: VS2 — Very Slightly Included, second degree; see our transparent note below for marquise-specific clarity considerations
  • Certification: IGI Certified — International Gemological Institute; independent third-party verification of color, clarity, cut, and carat weight
  • Origin: Lab-Grown — Physically, chemically, and optically identical to a mined diamond; conflict-free and ethically sourced

A Transparent Note on Color and Clarity

H Color in a Marquise: Unlike step-cut shapes such as the emerald cut, the marquise's brilliant faceting pattern is highly effective at masking color. H color in a marquise appears white and brilliant to the naked eye in virtually all settings and lighting conditions — an excellent value choice that delivers the look of a colorless diamond at a more accessible price point. In yellow gold, the warmth is completely invisible. In white gold or platinum, H color in a marquise remains an excellent choice.

VS2 Clarity in a Marquise: VS2 inclusions are not visible to the naked eye in typical viewing conditions. In a marquise, the brilliant faceting pattern also helps mask inclusions more effectively than step-cut shapes — making VS2 a strong clarity choice for this shape. However, marquise diamonds can occasionally exhibit a "bowtie" effect — a dark shadow across the center of the stone caused by light leakage — and the severity of this varies by stone. We recommend contacting us to discuss this stone's specific bowtie characteristics and reviewing the IGI certificate before purchase.

The Marquise Cut: The Most Elongating Diamond Shape

The marquise cut has a history as dramatic as its silhouette — legend holds that it was commissioned by King Louis XV of France, who wanted a diamond cut to mimic the shape of the lips of his mistress, the Marquise de Pompadour. Whether or not the story is true, the shape has endured for centuries as one of the most distinctive and flattering in fine jewelry. Its elongated, pointed outline creates the illusion of a longer, more slender finger more effectively than any other diamond shape, and its large face-up surface area means a 5-carat marquise appears substantially larger than a 5-carat round brilliant of the same weight. It is the diamond shape that delivers the most visual impact per carat — and at 5.03 carats, the impact is extraordinary.

IGI Certified: Complete Confidence

This diamond is certified by the International Gemological Institute (IGI), providing independent, third-party verification of every quality characteristic. The IGI certificate travels with the stone and provides permanent documentation of its specifications. We encourage all buyers to review the certificate carefully and contact us with any questions before purchase.

Setting Recommendations

A 5.03 carat marquise is most beautifully showcased in settings that honor its dramatic elongated silhouette — a simple two-prong or V-tip solitaire that protects the delicate points while allowing maximum light entry, or a three-stone setting with tapered baguette or trillion side stones that frame the marquise without competing with it. Yellow gold is a particularly beautiful pairing for H color, and the warm metal tone enhances the marquise's vintage-inspired character. Contact us to discuss custom setting options.

Perfect For

  • A custom engagement ring center stone with maximum visual impact and finger-elongating elegance
  • A buyer who wants the largest face-up appearance per carat of any diamond shape
  • A collector's loose diamond with a history as rich as its silhouette

A 5.03 carat IGI certified marquise at H/VS2 is an exceptional find. Contact us with any questions about this stone or to discuss custom setting options.

Inexpensive doesn’t mean cheap.
Color: Black/Orange
After 10 months, zero complaints. Well, I got rid of the horrible NATO strap 🙄. That’s a personal preference. Easy to swap out to whatever you like. Keeps accurate time meaning it’s the same time. I’m not micro analyzing it and the seconds gained/lost. It has a confident look and feel and makes you feel good when wearing it. Sure it’s not high priced but it’s not cheap. Very comfortable, light and not unincumbered. If this is what you’re looking at, you’d be satisfied. Great looking, durable and simple watch. Full confidence.

Budget Seiko Prospex this is not
Color: Black/Orange
Bought this as a cheap work watch, but I guess all the budget went into the solar technology. No date adjust feature, gotta crank the crown over and over to adjust the date. (Also no screw-down crown, but that's expected at this price) Fake diver bezel. Lol why? Cringe as heck. Should of just put a compass bezel on there instead tbh. Cheap plastic crystal, scratches and mars just by looking at it. Okay NATO strap. Falls apart quickly, but it's easily replaceable with a better quality one. Decent lume on the hands, but none on the hour markers even though it looks like there is. Looks cool.

Simplicity
Color: Black/Orange
This watch was received exactly as advertised. First off the watch is economical compared to other watches that advertise the same details. I will say that I have gone through numerous Luminox watches only to be disappointed. This watch fits the bill. It does have solar cells which mean it needs to be exposed to light to keep running, not a problem. Three minutes under my surefire light I am golden. The bezel doesn't rotate actually no big deal for me. I have always required that the bezel moves not anymore after having a bezel that rotates I use it next to never. Here's why, the more I rotate the bezel the more the numbers wear off. The strap on the watch with the catches for the strap are perfect. They actually hold the watch strap in place in lieu of like other big name brands that just flop and slide. As far as everyday use goes this watch is my go to. To be honest I have purchased three. This is the only watch I will wear moving forward, yeah the glass my scratch but even the big names like the Luminox I spoke of earlier scratches too.
