And in other exciting news, this refresh welcomes the Grand Pacific body to the fan favorite 400 series. The Taylor 417e Grand Pacific in Tobacco Sunburst features a solid Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. With this wood combo on this round-shoulder dreadnought, you’ll find earth-shaking low-end output, complimented by clear and focused mids and highs in the mix.
Taylor’s V-Class bracing provides impressive intonation, enhanced projection, and astonishing sustain for every single note or chord played, no matter how hard or soft your attack. The 417ER Grand Pacific’s body size and shape make for a powerful performance in volume. It takes full advantage of the spruce, rosewood, and bracing inside to make sure all frequencies ring and resonate to their fullest extent, while even incorporating gorgeous overtones and harmonies.
Its rich ebony fingerboard is a pleasure to play, and within it is one of the new aesthetic features to the refreshed 400 series. “Finial” Italian acrylic inlays decorate the dark ebony, inspired by classical carpentry and architecture. In addition to its Tobacco Sunburst finish and new inlay design, the 417ER has a single-ring agoya shell rosette, encircling the soundhole with elegance.
