---This handmade lokta paper is made in the highlands of Nepal by rural craftspeople in an environmentally friendly process with 50% recycled content. The raw material for our select paper is the Daphne bush. It is farmed and harvested from 3-4 year old plants that are cut down and stripped of their bark. The plant is not destroyed when cut down, it regenerates from the root. The cane like stick, once its bark is removed is dried and used to heat the villager’s homes, to provide fuel for cooking and also for the production of the paper. All of the water used in the paper production is reclaimed and reused.---

We design, print, score, cut, and ship all our cards from our home office. We strive for sustainability and high quality. We are currently working on our homesteading goals always focusing on living in harmony with our environment, and trying to do our part to help mother earth.

-GROWING-
The plants tolerate partial shade and need 4 hours a day of direct sunlight. Will grow to about 3'.

Germination may begin as quickly as one week or may take up to six weeks depending on your regional growing zone.

If you plant this paper in a pot, or in your garden please cover with just 1/8” of soil and keep moist until established.

This paper is the most tested seed paper stock in the country. It is tested by us, tested by the seed supplier, tested by the USDA (twice) and tested by the department of agriculture in Nepal (twice).

Some of the plants in the paper have just a 1 week germination time and some have a six week germination time. Keep watering until you see sprouts, then keep watering it regularly until the plant is established. Seedlings do not have the strength to survive even a brief drought."

We try to use all recycled materials when shipping your products. Please compost:)

many feelings
Format: Kindle
I didn’t know what this book was about when I first started reading.. one thing I felt at the beginning was…amazement? I love writing letters, something I don’t do often, I recently bought this beautiful fountain pen, I wanted to start small, writing greeting cards to family and friends, birthday cards, thank yous, etc. what I didn’t expect is the emotional toll this book had on me, and other members of my family who read the book for our book club. The subject matters, death of a child, husband dying of cancer, the significance of May 29th, all impacted our family, and so, as I read this book, I had to put it down several times because I had to cry, compose myself, think of regrets I have, and remember. How amazing it is that Sybil was able to write all about the death of her child to her dead child. I always say that writing it down on paper releases your burden in your head…it is true, I think writing letters, even the ones she didn’t send helped her quiet her head, at least for a while. I truly love this book. I have been borrowing books from Libby to read for our book club for a very long time, there have been books that I fell in love with, and always thought if I want to read them again I’ll just borrow them again, this book is the first one that I want to own physically to put on my shelf and know that I have it to read over and over again when I want to reflect and then quiet my head. ( This is the longest review I’ve written about a book I’ve read, I hope it makes sense).
