Mesquite Bowl Blank M-1083 2.7" x 6.2" x 6.5" 3.2 lbs. This is a very nice half-log bowl blank of Texas Honey Mesquite. The overall color is also the deep reddish brown of mesquite heartwood surrounded by a thin band of yellow sapwood, with a nearly-complete and well-attached dark brown bark on the backside. This half-log bowl blank should be suitable for a bowl 6" in diameter and >2" deep. With the bark on the backside, you have the option of turning a conventional bowl or a "barky" natural-edge bowl. However, if you want a full bark edge on the "natural" rim, you will need to secure the bark with CA glue before and possibly during turning. Note that one small patch of bark is missing on the back-side. See last several photos for a closer look. This is a classic half-log blank, split through the center of the log. The pith lies at the cut face and has a series of narrow, discontinous cracks associated with it. I recommend reinforcing and filling the cracks with CA glue prior to turning. This is a GREEN to partially air-dried bowl blank, meaning that it still retains a lot of its original moisture from when it was a living tree. It has been well-sealed with Anchor Seal and is in the process of slowly drying; this process can take years if leave it in log form. It was measured at 35 to 40% MC in March, 2022. If you need a current moisture content, please message us and we'll check its status for you. About the Tree This Texas-grown Honey Mesquite tree was harvested in El Campo, Texas in March of 2022. It was cut down by the city for reasons unknown to us, and we were happy to help save the tree from a burn pile. It is possible that this tree was damaged by the Valentines Day Freeze that Texas suffered in Feburary 2021, which is when our state lost a lot of beautiful trees in an unusally deep and long freeze. You can feel good about this American-grown hardwood being responsibly harvested and turned into beautiful art by YOU. The tree was in healthy growing condition, with a minimum of bug damage and a nice healthy girth to the trunk. There is some minor evidence of fire damage, perhaps from a campfire, near the base of the tree on one side. It may have been in a fairly protected area such as a city park, as the mesquite is less twisted and gnarly than trees grown in open pastures. The grain looks generally long and straight and of excellent quality for green or dried turning. |

Worth the price an pretty good angles

So I decided to get this monitor arm because I was trying to go for an all white aesthetic and needed a arm to come in on time was a little skeptical because of the reviews but after using it, I love it. It’s super sturdy. The monitor arm is pretty high-quality. It uses mostly metal and the cable management is really good. I definitely recommend it.

Easy to use

Easy to use and set up. The quality of the item seems to be there - sturdy enough to hold my 34” ultra wide Samsung monitor. Worth every cent with how easy it is to use and readjust the angle of the screen - I had to stiffen the resistance to account for the added weight of the monitor, but the fit and stability is spot on once the adjustment was made; just a few turns of the screw with the included Allen key

Great quality and price

The arm needed some additional tightening, but it’s holding my 32 in monitor perfectly. Great stability and mobility. The cable organizer is a bit awkward, but works well enough. I’ll probably stick with this brand in the future; the cost vs quality is amazing.

Great stand for the price!

It is a great stand. I was able to put everything together myself.
Just wanted to point out a couple of things here. I have 2, 27" flat montors and 2, 37" curved monitors. Now the description says it will go up to 27", but I was able to get the 37" ones on this stand also. You can put them side by side - they will fit, but make sure you don't go over the weight limit, so for mine, to be sure I didn't exceed the weight limit, I have the bottom of them sitting on the and foot of the frame itself. You will not be able to angle them inwards toward yourself if you have 37" curved monitors. This is what I was hoping to do I just needed an extra inch on each side to move them out, for now I will just leave them side by side.
For assembly, because I was doing this by myself, I found it easiest to leave all the moveable parts loose and lay the monitors out on the floor face down in the position I wanted them in (NO CABLES). Then I took the mostly assembled frame and adjusted it to my monitors. I put the plates on the monitors and then slid the appropriate piece of the frame onto each plate, still leaving most parts slightly loose (giving myself just enough play to move things around when I stood it up). I then stood the frame up and firmed down all the fittings once I got everything where I wanted it. I then lifted the entire stand with monitors up onto my desk and then began plugging in all the cables and cords.
I really like the stand and it is a great value for the price. It is very sturdy with my setup. I just wish it had about an extra inch on at least the bottom two arms, but overall, definitely a great stand.
