#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER When we deny our stories, they define us. When we own our stories, we get to write the ending.

Don't miss the hourlong Netflix special Bren Brown: The Call to Courage!

Social scientist Bren Brown has ignited a global conversation on courage, vulnerability, shame, and worthiness. Her pioneering work uncovered a profound truth: Vulnerabilitythe willingness to show up and be seen with no guarantee of outcomeis the only path to more love, belonging, creativity, and joy. But living a brave life is not always easy: We are, inevitably, going to stumble and fall.

It is the rise from falling that Brown takes as her subject in Rising Strong. As a grounded theory researcher, Brown has listened as a range of peoplefrom leaders in Fortune 500 companies and the military to artists, couples in long-term relationships, teachers, and parentsshared their stories of being brave, falling, and getting back up. She asked herself, What do these people with strong and loving relationships, leaders nurturing creativity, artists pushing innovation, and clergy walking with people through faith and mystery have in common? The answer was clear: They recognize the power of emotion and they're not afraid to lean in to discomfort.

Walking into our stories of hurt can feel dangerous. But the process of regaining our footing in the midst of struggle is where our courage is tested and our values are forged. Our stories of struggle can be big ones, like the loss of a job or the end of a relationship, or smaller ones, like a conflict with a friend or colleague. Regardless of magnitude or circumstance, the rising strong process is the same: We reckon with our emotions and get curious about what we're feeling; we rumble with our stories until we get to a place of truth; and we live this process, every day, until it becomes a practice and creates nothing short of a revolution in our lives. Rising strong after a fall is how we cultivate wholeheartedness. It's the process, Brown writes, that teaches us the most about who we are.

Perfect for casual wear and dressy style
Color: Dark Green, Size: Small
This sweater is soooo soft and the color is so rich. The fit of it is perfect, not too tight and not too baggy, just right and I used the size guide to pick my size. Just for reference, I am 5'3" and 130lbs, 38C bust. It's well made and washes great. I chose to hang dry mine as I typically don't put any of my sweaters in the dryer to dry, just to fluff them. I have this one in two colors, the green and the tan/beige and I would say they are both a true representative of the color shown.

Love the long sleeves!!!
Color: White, Size: Small
Love it! I'm 5' 11" tall and I purchased this according to reviews. Several people commented on the length of the sleeves. I have a hard time finding sleeves long enough if it's not " tall" sized. It was perfect for me. If this washes nice I'm going to consider purchasing more in other colors. I ordered the white and just love the long ribbed cuffs with the line of buttons. Very soft.

Nice cozy sweater, but handwashing is recommended
Color: Beige, Size: Medium
Soft and cozy, but does not wash well. Goes with everything. This sweater fits well and looks great. I received lots of compliments while wearing it.

Great sweater for winters in the Midwest
Color: Black, Size: X-Large
Love this sweater! I went back and got another color! The fit is true to size and very comfy. The button detail on the sleeves just adds a little pizazz. The weight of the sweater is perfect for winters in the Midwest.

Flattering fit
Color: Dark Green, Size: XX-Large
This sweater is thick and stretchy but holds a nice shape, and is flattering on the body. The sleeves are nice and long too, which I really appreciate, being a tall person... the button detail is a great addition. True to size. I haven't washed it yet, and I imagine, based on the kind of woolly knit it is, that this sweater will eventually pill... but for now I'm enjoying being cozy and stylish. The deep green color is almost black green. I LOVE IT.
