[About the actual vehicle]
--At the end of World War II, the German army lost air superiority, and tanks and other ground troops suffered from air attacks by Allied fighters.
--To deal with this, the German army has developed various self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicles equipped with anti-aircraft guns.
-One of them is the Kugelblitz, an anti-aircraft tank that uses the body of the Panzer IV and is equipped with a dedicated turret.
-Unlike many anti-aircraft vehicles, it was a major feature that it was equipped with the first fully sealed turret of the German army.
--Initially, it was planned to develop an anti-aircraft tank by mounting the 3 cm twin anti-aircraft turret developed to equip the U-boat on the Panzer IV, but the design of the turret needs to be changed, and a new dedicated turret is required. The turret was built.
¨D¨DThe turret was characterized by a unique double structure equipped with a completely sealed turret and an armor plate that surrounds it 360 degrees.
