The alder body provides a resonant and balanced tonal foundation, with deep lows and clear highs that suit a wide range of playing styles. The maple neck, finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, is shaped into a comfortable 1966 "C" profile. A bound rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25-inch radius and 21 vintage-tall frets delivers an authentic mid-'60s playing feel. Pearloid block inlays, white neck binding, and a matching painted headstock capture the visual essence of this era. Pure Vintage single-line "Fender Deluxe" tuners maintain tuning stability, while the bone nut enhances sustain and resonance.
At the heart of this model are a pair of Pure Vintage ‘66 single-coil Jazzmaster pickups, meticulously voiced to replicate the warm, full-bodied tones of the originals. The unique rhythm and lead circuit switch offers expanded tonal possibilities, with separate volume and tone controls for each mode. The Pure Vintage Jazzmaster bridge with threaded steel barrel saddles, combined with the floating tremolo system, provides smooth vibrato action and solid intonation.
Finished in Sherwood Green Metallic gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, the Fender American Vintage II 1966 Jazzmaster captures the essence of a defining year in guitar history. It includes a vintage-style black case.
