This is a very nice square cut bowl blank of Black Walnut heartwood with sapwood and bark along one edge. The color is a pleasant medium to dark brown with a very nice, gently flowing grain pattern over most of the block. One edge has 1" thick bark and a 1" band of lighter brown sapwood. This piece has been air dried to under 10% moisture content. I see no cracks, checks, or other flaws. The

The color is a pleasant medium to dark brown with a very nice, gently-flowing grain pattern over most of the block. One edge has 1"-thick bark and a 1" band of lighter-brown sapwood. This piece has been air-dried to under 10% moisture content. I see no cracks, checks, or other flaws. The bark is complete and well-attached. If you wish to turn this and retain the bark, secure it with CA glue prior to turning. |

Comfortable and stylish

I'm very pleased with these shoes. I rarely write reviews, but these are extremely comfortable and stylish. I bought a black pair and a brown paid. Many times I have to get a wide, but the standard size 12 fits me well. Easy to slip into, yet still snug while walking.
I feel like the price is reasonable too.
