Stephen’s wife, Bernadine Johnson Kamara, is herself an Award-winning Artist in this 2017 SALA Contemporary Art Prize.

Stephen was born in 1974 in the Utopia region, east of Alice Springs, Northern Territory.
From a family of renowned artists, Stephen is the son of the late Glory Ngala, nephew of Kuddtji Kngwarreye and brother of Anna Price Pitjara.
Stephen’s artworks explore several themes, including Emu Dreaming, Yam Dreaming, Shooting Stars and Spirit Man.

These works reflect an appreciation for strong male figures and resonate with the role of resourceful, reliable men in society and Aboriginal culture. Stephen’s highly detailed ‘Spirit Men’ paintings also explore nature’s offerings and the artist’s connection to country.

As Stephen explains, “we are born with everything we need. It is all around us. We have fire, water, hunting, shelter, tools, animals, plants, winds. Plenty to satisfy everything and be happy.”

SPIRIT MAN – AND “THE LAWS OF ABUNDANCE IN THE BALANCE OF NATURE”

“We are born with everything we need. It is all around us. We have fire, water, hunting, shelter, tools, animals, plants, winds. Plenty to satisfy everything and be happy” Stephen shows us. All these things are celebrated in Stephen’s strong Spirit Man’s paintings. There is also an appreciation of strong male figures – resourceful, reliable men are very important role models in all societies and play a crucial role in the structure of Aboriginal societies’ Culture, securing independence, respect for self & others, and safe lifestyle choices.

This artwork depicts the ancestral Spirits and the Creation of the Land. The story tells us that the ancestral spirits came down to the land from the sky in the form of fire. As they moved across the land, the fire would leave behind the country as it can be seen today. These ancestral spirits created the water, rivers, waterholes, trees, animals and plants. A ceremony is held each year to give thanks for the creation and continued abundance of the Pencil Yam.

Perfect for small home projects
Size: No Size, Style: 4V Screwdriver_Twist 2.0 2pc Set
Good for anyone who is looking to have a small bit and doesn't really use a manual screwdriver to match or use a heavy duty drill. Good for this. Getting small tasks then but it can also screw into wood. I did test it and it's pretty well working not as fast as your regular drill can. The power is pretty high but no it does lose percentage over time. The grip of it's nice and comfortable and easy to use. Seems like it has a magnetic head to help keep your screws together is about the size of a hand but is arguably still bigger? Haven't even lost any pieces to it. Pretty high durability and good for its size

Heavy duty tool for light work! GREAT VALUE IMHO
Size: No Size, Style: 4V Screwdriver_Twist 2.0 2pc Set, Size: No Size, Style: 4V Screwdriver_Twist 2.0 2pc Set
Great tool to add to the box. I had this in my cart as I was looking for something small that was electric and had a flexible head, mostly for auto (being able to get all but the torque in tight spaces) and also at work where I’m constantly using a driver and wanted to save my wrists some work. There are others out there, but most are Amazon only brands, which come from China and are hard to get good customer service if there’s an issue. You buy something and have an issue a year later and find that the company either doesn’t exist or has changed their name. It’s a tactic. I buy USA made when it’s available, and buy American brands like Skil and Craftsman, etc. as you can trust they’ll make things right if needed. Anyway, I love this thing. I use it multiple times a day, but it’s about 6 bolts in, work for a few hours, 6 bolts out, then back in, and so on. So I’m not running it non stop. It’s a $20-30 tool, so I don’t expect it to last with some crazy heavy use on a job site. I don’t use the bit it came with. I use this exclusively with socket driver bits. Mostly a 1/2” tool get the light work done, then pull out the torque wrench and finish it. I saw this on sale in town for the same price, so I bought one for my 17yo son who is always wrenching on stuff. Great tool to have for getting the lighter thousand turns out of the way. It would probably last forever if used around the house and charged by the book. I’ve only recharged it once and at the rate I use it one charge lasted a couple weeks. It is built very well, and has heavy-duty rubberized grip around with the body of a thicker, power tool type plastic. 100% recommended to anyone and everyone. This is the type of thing any man that actually works and fixes things around the house and garage/shop, young or old, would appreciate.

Decent driver, but no real torque control
Size: No Size, Style: 4V Screwdriver_Twist 2.0 2pc Set
As others have noted, this driver works well overall, but would be better if the head could go to 90° instead of just 45°, and it comes in an extremely hard to open package. I'd like to point out a couple of other things that I haven't seen mentioned. First, although this tool claims to have torque control via the three-level setting on the handle, it's not like most drills and drivers. With them, when the maximum torque setting is reached, a clutch disengages and the tool just 'freewheels.' But this Skil driver runs until the motor stalls, and its three settings merely control when that happens. In practical terms, that means the tool can wrench your wrist pretty badly. Even at the lowest setting the torque is considerable, making it all too easy to strip threads or even break off screw heads. This also makes it more likely to injure your wrist. Also, in case it wasn't obvious, this tool's battery is not user-replaceable. If it runs out of power in the middle of a job... too bad. And when eventually it gets to the point where it will no longer hold a charge, Skil's only suggestion is to "Have the tool serviced by an Authorized SKIL Service Station." If you can find one, that is. If you don't want a disposable tool, this is probably not for you. Don't get me wrong--I like this driver, and it has already come in handy in a few situations where my regular drill/driver would have been too bulky to fit. But it's good to know its limitations. Skil also makes a smaller, less expensive 4 V screwdriver that lacks the adjustable-angle head of this one. If a straight power screwdriver is all you need, that one is worth considering: https://www.amazon.com/Rechargeable-Cordless-Screwdriver-Circuit-Technology/dp/B07C4916LS/ref=sr_1_7
