The body is constructed from 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple, which provides a unique blend of warmth, clarity, and resonance. Its classic semi-hollow design is both lightweight and offers the perfect balance between the characteristics of a solid body and hollow body guitar. Adorned with a Vintage Natural finish, this guitar exhibits a timeless aesthetic, the kind of instrument that turns heads even before it's played.
The solid Mahogany neck, coupled with a 12" radius Indian Rosewood fingerboard, is both comfortable and conducive to a wide range of playing styles. The neck features Authentic Medium-Jumbo frets, providing a nice, vintage feel while the scale length of 24.75" ensures comfortable string tension and easy playability.
At the heart of the Gibson Custom Shop 1959 ES-335 Reissue VOS are its Custombucker Alnico III (Unpotted) pickups in both the bridge and neck positions.
