Like all xi-noq, Xir emerged from its' cocoon as part of a triad, with it's counterparts, Woa and Shan. After Shan was infected by the evil power of aox, the triad went into the Breach in search of a cure, but Xir was betrayed by a corrupted Woa, who took Shan and left Xir for dead.
