It also ensures incredibly intuitive cleating and releasing, allowing you to stay in full control and play the vang effortlessly from any angle—whether you are tucked inboard navigating a mark rounding or fully hiked out upwind.
At the core of this system is the primary purchase sheave, which utilises Ronstan's high-load, ultra-low friction stainless steel HHL sheave. Additionally, the geometry of the cleat arm pivot point has been strategically positioned as close to the clevis pin attachment as possible. This smart design choice minimises leverage and significantly reduces the stress placed on your mast attachment point, protecting your rig from long-term fatigue.
