Explore the intersection of power, morality, and societal structures with 'Philosophy, Ethics, and Politics'. This compelling work features a series of enlightening interviews and dialogues with the renowned philosopher Paul Ricoeur, capturing essential insights from 1981 to 2003. Dive deep into contemporary political philosophy as Ricoeur tackles pressing questions about justice, violence, war, the environmental crisis, and the nature of evil. This exploration of ethical and political action challenges readers to engage critically with the complexities of life in the polis. This book offers a unique perspective on how philosophical inquiry can illuminate current political dilemmas without presuming any superior knowledge. Ricoeur meticulously distinguishes three societal levels—tools, institutions, and values—encouraging readers to reflect on their interconnections and implications for democratic deliberation. Rather than provide a linear narrative or a utopian vision for the future, Ricoeur invites us to embrace human creativity as the foundation for meaningful change. This essential read for scholars of political philosophy, ethics, and those engaged in contemporary debates will deepen your understanding of the philosophical underpinnings of politics and society.

Description:
In this series of interviews and dialogues which took place between 1981 and 2003, Paul Ricoeur addresses some of the central questions of political philosophy and ethics: justice, violence, war, the environmental crisis, the question of evil, ethical and political action in the polis. Philosophical issues are brought to bear on present-day concerns and the practical realities of contemporary politicsHow can the philosopher speak about politics without claiming superior insight or a higher order of knowledge? Ricoeur distinguishes three levels of society: ˜tools™ (modes of production and the accumulation of technology), ˜institutions™ (which are tied to national cultures) and ˜values™ (which claim to be universal). The philosopher™s task is to probe each of these levels and open up spaces for reflection, criticism and democratic deliberation. It is to explore the paradoxes of the political rather than invoking certainties dictated by conscience. Just as there no longer exists a grand narrative about the past, so too there is no longer any utopia capable of projecting the desired future. What remains is human creativity, which marks the source common to the institutional frameworks that are already present and the horizons that extend beyond them. The philosopher™s engagement lies in the promise to revive this source at the very moment it appears to dry up under the weight of the realThis volume of interviews and dialogues with one of the most important French philosophers of the post-war period will be of interest to anyone interested in the great political and

Works
Size: 8.5"x11"
Works great for sublimation. Get plenty of sheets. Great value for the price. The paper is pretty thick and seems to hold a good amount of ink without smearing.

My go-to sublimation paper for crafting
Size: 8.5"x11"
I've used several sublimation papers, and this one has worked really well for my crafting projects. The colors transfer bright and vibrant, and the images come out crisp with good detail when using the proper sublimation printer and ink. The paper feeds smoothly through my printer and feels like a good quality weight—not too thin and not overly thick. I've used it for tumblers, keychains, and other sublimation projects, and I've been happy with the results. I also appreciate getting 110 sheets in one pack because it lasts a while, especially when working on multiple projects at once. Overall, this is a reliable sublimation paper that gives consistent results and is great for crafters or small business owners.

Amazing product!
Set name: Sublimation Printer, Set name: Sublimation Printer
All I can say is "WOW". I was skeptical about changing over from my Sawgrass to another brand of sublimation printers. But now I wish I started here from the start! Not only does this machine cost a good amount less with the same paper sizes and options as my SG500 but the ink is cheaper per cartridge and 11ml larger than the standard 30ml I am use to. Set up was super easy, as well as the connection. My prints are bold, bright, and beautiful. I am amazed! I am thankful that the details in the prints show through no matter what material I am pressing on. As a business owner, I need a good, efficient printer that doesn't cost more than the product I am selling. I can't wait to continue using my machine. I have not run into any maintenance issue and can not speak on anything of that as of now. Attached photos; however, my camera did not do it justice.
