Pink, fluffy and adorable? Yasss! Shannon couldn’t resist the fluffiest squish of feathered puffball that is the Australian Rose Robin!

How could I resist that rosy little chest and soft, round fluffiness? I love how the rich pinks pop against the soft greys and whites. There’s a gentle stillness to this bird, but also a quiet confidence in the way it perches – like it knows it’s showing off!

Capturing that sweet mix of soft and fluffy with its rich, striking rose colouring was pure joy! I adored bringing this little beauty to life on the page.

This artwork has been hand painted with professional-grade watercolour paint and detailed with a traditional nib and highly concentrated ink on 300gsm 100% cotton watercolour paper. See more details below.

About the Rose Robin:
The Rose Robin is found in south-eastern Australia preferring wet forest and rainforest habitats during spring and summer, moving to drier, more open habitats, during autumn and winter where they are sometimes seen in farms and town gardens when migrating. The most acrobatic of the robin genus ‘Petroica’, the Rose Robin, has a darting, tumbling flight when feeding on insects, mainly foraging in the upper to mid-canopy, occasionally feeding from the ground. It is very active, flitting from tree to tree or to the ground and will not return to the same perch, unlike other robins. Even when perched, they regularly shift position by making short flights every few seconds. They often join mixed-species feeding flocks, accompanying thornbills, fantails and other small insectivorous species. The Rose Robin breeds in pairs, with the female incubating the eggs and both sexes feeding the young. The compact, cup-shaped nest is placed towards the outer end of a branch or in a tree fork, and is made of green moss, with some twigs and bark, lined with plant down or fur and camouflaged with lichen. Land-clearing for urban development, especially along the coast, has caused local extinctions of Rose Robin populations as they are quite sensitive to habitat fragmentation and the loss of understorey and, like so many native animals, they’re also killed by cats who kill more than 1 million birds in Australia every day. Great Amber Fog Lights for the Price
Color: Amber Flood Beam (ZD000711), Color: Amber Flood Beam (ZD000711)
Installed these Auxbeam amber LED pods on my F-150 and I’m very impressed. The amber color is true yellow and cuts through fog, rain, and dust much better than white light. The beam pattern is wide and low, perfect for fog light use without blinding other drivers. Build quality feels solid — heavy aluminum housing, strong brackets, and clean wiring. They look aggressive but still functional. For the price, these are hard to beat. Bright, durable, and exactly what I was looking for. Would definitely recommend.

6 months old with moisture inside!
Color: Amber Flood Beam (ZD000711), Color: Amber Flood Beam (ZD000711)
Update; Wed. April 22nd, auxbeam saw my review and reached out to me immediately and are sending me a new set of lights hands down. No questions asked. That's great customer service! I will install those on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. Thanks Auxbeam! I ordered these lights October 12th 2025 and installed them on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. It was nice because there were holes already provided on the Jeep for aftermarket fog lights. Today, April 15th 2026 I removed them from my Jeep to put them on my 1988 Mazda b2200 pickup truck. First let me say that these are built solid and they put off some really good light. Just be sure that you mount them pointing downwards so they don't blind oncoming traffic or you will get a lot of people flashing their brights at you. I knocked a couple stars off because after I remove them I noticed one of them has moisture in it and these are supposed to be a sealed unit. I'm not going to warranty it. I'm just going to take it apart and reseal it myself so I know that it's done properly. The only other issue I have with these lights is the switch that goes inside to turn them off and on has a red light that stays on all the time and can be a battery drain. It's also very bright and distracting depending on where you locate it? This is my third set of auxbeam lights and I am pleased with the quality of the lights, but I do believe the manufacturer needs to pay a little more attention at the assembly line. It's all about quality control guys.

Bright, cheap, worth it!
Color: 12D White Flood Beam (ZD000672), Color: 12D White Flood Beam (ZD000672)
I use these as ditch lights and im impressed. Mainly by the brightness and the color of the light which is like super white. These have saved me from colliding with deer at night multiple times now. They came with the wire harness which was great. The harness was a little long for the vehicle they are on but thats fine. I just tuck the extra into a crevice on either side of the fenders and perfect. The switch has been a point of annoyance with me for a while now though. The adheasive is not very sticky. Even on a thoroughly cleaned surface, it still sometimes falls off. I have since fixed the issue with a new strip of 3m adheasive. Oh also, I got these when they were on sale for around 65 dollars. Which I now see as an absolute bargain. They've lasted me so far a year. Not of daily use but still. Cool lights. Would buy again. Photo is with low beams on and these pods.
