Starting with PRS's classic pick of a solid mahogany body with an asymmetric top bevel, the S2 Vela is eye-catching and tangibly ergonomic. This model’s one-of-a-kind offset, double-cutaway shape is visually captivating and smoothly carried for playing casually or onstage. The mahogany body is paired with a set, scarfed mahogany neck in a PRS Pattern Regular shape. Combined with a twenty-two-fret rosewood fingerboard, the entire experience of the neck in hand is easily traversable for quick trips from higher to lower registers. Humble PRS Birds fret inlays line the rosewood board for an instantly-recognizable aesthetic motif.

This PRS S2 Vela is outfitted with a bold PRS pickup configuration. Loaded to the pickguard with vast tonal spectrums to unlock, a PRS DS-01 pickup in the treble position produces a bright and punchy tone. This powerful pickup is matched with a PRS Narrowfield pickup in the bass position to expand on the sonic experience this configuration can access. A coil-tap tone control allows players to split the treble pickup to incorporate authentic single-coil tonality and get even more sonic mileage.
