Explanation: The GM trucks have the ability through programming and monitoring to know exactly how much fuel is in the fuel tank as well as fuel consumption based on miles driven and fuel economy. The design of our XXL tanks adds additional fuel volume above the OEM float which in turn will hold the float on full past what the computer thinks is acceptable. The truck will run a system check and see that the Fuel gauge is reading out of specifications and will zero the fuel gauge. This will put the truck into a semi-adaptive learning mode and the truck will start to align the specifications with the current truck parameters.
