I believe we so far forgot ourselves as to shake hands on it. H. W. Tilman , on reaching the summit of Nanda Devi. In 1934, after fifty years of trying, mountaineers finally gained access to the Nanda Devi Sanctuary in the Garhwal Himalaya. Two years later an expedition led by H.W. Tilman reached the summit of Nanda Devi. At over 25,000 feet, it was the highest mountain to be climbed until 1950. The Ascent of Nanda Devi , Tilman s account of the climb, has been widely hailed as a classic. Keenly observed, well informed and at times hilariously funny, it is as close to a conventional mountaineering account as Tilman could manage. Beginning with the history of the mountain ( there was none ) and the expedition s arrival in India, Tilman recounts the build-up and approach to the climb. Writing in his characteristic dry style, he tells how Sherpas are hired, provisions are gathered (including a mouth-blistering sauce containing 100 per cent chillies ) and the climbers head into the hills, towards Nanda Devi. Superbly parodied in The Ascent of Rum Doodle by W.E. Bowman, The Ascent of Nanda Devi was among the earliest accounts of a climbing expedition to be published. Much imitated but rarely matched, it remains one of the best.

Very Well-Made and Works Great!
I have a Macbook Pro, and naturally, these computers don't come with USB ports to connect to. That's why I bought these adapters. I needed some high quality ones that I know will last me for a long time, and given that I own my Anker products, I figured these would be a great purchase.
And they are! These adapters are very well built. There's a bit of heft to them, and they feel very stable when plugged into my computer. There's no noise or distraction coming from them. You just plug it in and that's it. I have never once had any connectivity issues where the adapter, for whatever reason, stops working and I have to unplug it and then plug it back it. No, it works straight from the box and hasn't given me any issues.
These are great adapters because they're built very sturdy, will not cause any connectivity issues, and are nice if you want to use a mouse or connect a USB stick to your Macbook.

Simple Solution for Using USB-A Cables with USB-C Chargers
I used these for the first time last week when I needed to plug a USB-A cable into a newer USB-C charger.
They worked exactly as expected. The connection was solid, and the device powered on without any issues.
I’ve generally had good experiences with Anker products, and these adapters are consistent with that—simple and reliable for what they’re designed to do.
These are useful for bridging older USB-A cables with newer USB-C power sources, especially for basic charging needs.
Build quality feels solid for the size, and they’re small enough to keep with your cables without getting in the way.
Overall: a straightforward and reliable adapter for using USB-A cables with USB-C chargers.

Great product, mic and camera compatible
I bought this to use a webcam with a built-in mic on my Microsoft Windows Surface Pro 8. When I first plugged in the webcam both the camera and the mic were recognized, however the mic was not picking up sound. After double checking the device settings, my privacy settings, the device drivers, and everything else I simply unplugged and replugged the camera in. Then everything worked as I had hoped. Great value for a great product. I trust Anker to reliably protect and provide stability for all of my devices. Simple product, plug and play. Sleek, simple design
