The Range Extender 12.6V13A allows extension of the fishing day by recharging a Rebelcell 12V AV battery on the go' via the alternator of an outboard engine.
The Range Extender continuously monitors the voltage in the starter battery to prevent accidental discharge limits the alternator current if required and provides the correct charging profile (voltage current) to safely charge the 12V AV battery. Thanks to the built-in charge indicator easily see if the battery is being charged.
Compatible With: Outboard engines with 12V alternator with at least 15A charge current. Compatible with all known brands (e.g. Honda Mercury Yamaha Suzuki etc.).
Optimal Charging Profile: Provides the correct charging profile (charge voltage and current) to safely charge the Rebelcell 12V AV battery.
Starter Battery Discharge Protection: Continuously monitors the voltage in the starter battery and will only allow charging of the 12V AV battery if starter batter voltage is above 13.2V. This ensures that the starter battery is not accidentally discharged.
Overcharge Protection: Will automatically adjust the alternator output charge current to avoid overcharging of the battery.
Temperature Protection: The dynamic thermal output control' limits the charge current to reduce the temperature.
Short Circuit and Reverse Polarity Protection: Automatic shutdown with short circuit. Reverse polarity protection on input.
Charge Indicator: If the LED on the Range Extender is 'ON' the battery is being charged.
Warranty: Two years.
