We recommend you have some basic hand-building experience to take this class as porcelain requires more patience than stoneware.

Course Outline

• A two and a half hour guided session including demonstrations by Elisabetta
• Access to the studio materials and tools
• Glazing firing will be taken care of by us
• You pieces will be glazed transparent, giving your work a minimal elegant finish

This master class will introduce you to the art of hand-building with porcelain, understanding its uniqueness, limitations and quirks. We will briefly discuss what porcelain is and what makes the material so special. You will be shown a demonstration into a variety of techniques and will be then able to work on your projects. Elisabetta will share her approach to working with porcelain and will demonstrate how she tackles her projects.  

Classes will be held in a relaxed setting, with a max. of 8 participants per class. This enables plenty of 1-on-1 time to get the most out of this session.

After the class, you will leave the pieces with us to be finished. We will take care of firing and coating them in a glossy transparent glaze.

They will take about 3 to 4 weeks to be finished and we will notify you by email when they are ready to be collected.

Please note that we can only keep pieces 2 months after you have been notified.
