6FT Propane Hose Regulator with Integrated Pressure Gauge
Key Features
- CSA Certified Safety: Fully tested and CSA certified to meet North American safety standards, ensuring a stable gas flow and leak-free performance for all low-pressure propane appliances.
- Integrated Pressure Gauge: Features a built-in color-coded dial (Green/Yellow/Red) that monitors the propane level in the tank, preventing unexpected "run-outs" during grilling or heating sessions.
- Long-Reach 6-Foot Hose: The extended 72-inch length provides maximum flexibility, allowing you to keep your propane cylinder at a safe distance from the heat source and providing easier access for tank swaps.
- Universal QCC1/Type 1 Connector: Designed for a tool-free, hand-tightened connection to all standard US 20 lb to 40 lb propane tanks, featuring an internal safety shut-off in case of a major leak.
- Precision 3/8" Female Flare Nut: Equipped with a standard 3/8-inch brass flare nut that ensures a secure, airtight seal to the manifold of your grill, fire pit, or patio heater without the need for thread tape.
Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers
- Standard Industry Codes: 60308, 2106, 59132, 71131.
- Manufacturer Equivalents: Weber 60040 (Q-Series), Nexgrill 710-0008, Cuisinart GR-10-H.
- Generic Equivalents: Fits most 1PSI low-pressure regulator assemblies with a 3/8" flare connection.
Compatibility & Fitment
This regulator is a universal low-pressure solution for a wide variety of outdoor propane appliances. Key compatible brands include:
- Gas Grills: Fits most Weber (Spirit/Genesis/Q), Nexgrill, Cuisinart, Char-Broil, and Brinkmann models with a 3/8" male flare inlet.
- Fire Pits & Tables: Compatible with various outdoor gas fire pits and decorative fire tables utilizing a low-pressure burner system.
- Patio Heaters: Fits standard 40,000–48,000 BTU stand-up patio heaters that connect to a 20 lb bulk tank.
- Low-Pressure Appliances: Not compatible with high-pressure burners (like turkey fryers or high-output camp stoves) or natural gas lines.
- Note: Verify that your appliance has a 3/8" Male Flare connection. If your inlet is 1/4" or 1/2", an additional adapter may be required.
When to Replace
- Smell of Propane: If you detect gas odors near the regulator or hose, even when the appliance is off, the internal diaphragm or hose wall may be compromised.
- Weak or Low Flame: The regulator is "sticking" in the closed position, preventing sufficient gas flow to reach the burners even when the tank is full.
- Yellow or Inconsistent Flame: Indicates the regulator is no longer providing the consistent 11" Water Column pressure required for clean, blue combustion.
- Visible Hose Damage: Any signs of cracking, brittleness, or animal "chew marks" on the rubber hose are critical safety hazards.
- Gauge Malfunction: If the gauge needle remains in the "Red" zone despite a full tank, the internal sensor has failed.
Installation Tips
- Safety First: **CRITICAL:** Ensure the propane tank valve and all appliance control knobs are in the "OFF" position before beginning.
- The Flare Connection: **PRO TIP:** When connecting the 3/8" flare nut to your grill, use two wrenches (one to hold the manifold inlet steady and one to tighten the nut) to avoid damaging the grill's internal gas line.
- No Thread Tape Needed: Flare fittings are designed to be metal-on-metal seals. Using Teflon tape on flare threads can actually prevent a proper seal and cause leaks.
- Avoid the "Bypass" Mode: If the flame is extremely low after installation, you may have tripped the "Excess Flow Safety Device." To reset: Turn everything off, disconnect the regulator, wait 30 seconds, reconnect, and turn the tank valve on **very slowly**.
- Soapy Water Test: After installation, spray all connections with a mixture of dish soap and water. If bubbles appear, tighten the connections further or check for debris in the threads.
