The Kramer Jersey Star boasts a rich heritage dating back to the golden age of '80s hard rock. Originally released in the era of hair metal shredding, the Jersey Star quickly established itself as a reliable workhorse, offering a versatile high-gain experience. The modern incarnation honors this legacy, recreating the classic design with premium components.
The Jersey Star features a double-cutaway alder body, finished in a White Pearl that highlights its curves. The lower cutaway allows for effortless access to higher frets, while the classic "Star" logo sits proudly on the upper bout, instantly recognizable to any Kramer aficionado.
The three-piece maple neck boasts a smooth Elliptical "C" profile, and the maple fingerboard features twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets and a comfortable, wide 16-inch radius. Pearlescent star inlays top the fingerboard, subtly reinforcing the guitar's name.
This shred machine comes loaded with a trio of Kramer USA Neptune pickups. Neptune Rhythm pickups in the bridge and neck positions deliver a tight, punchy sound perfect for high-gain riffs. The middle position also features a Neptune Rhythm, but with a coil-splitting option via a mini-toggle switch, offering additional versatility to this already versatile rocker. A master volume and a single tone knob keep things simple and intuitive, allowing for control of these three humbuckers.
Of course, this wouldn't be a true shred machine without a Floyd Rose 1000 Series Tremolo bridge. This system allows for the kind of explosive divebombs synonymous with '80s metal, perfectly complementing the powerful pickup configuration. This instrument comes with an included premium gigbag.
