MF Dooms first group and their controversial sophomore release Bl_ck B_st_rds now available as a double CD containing the full the album with a second disc of bonus material including rare cuts, remixes and instrumentals, and a 32-page booklet of liner notes and rare photos compiled by Brian Coleman, featuring interviews with MF DOOM, Pete Nice, Dante Ross and Bobbito Garcia.

The words lost classic get thrown around from time to time, but KMDs sophomore album, Black Bastards, truly fits the bill. Originally scheduled for release in the spring of 1994, their label unceremoniously shelved it at the eleventh hour due to controversy over the provocative cover art. Surviving group member MF Doom (then known as Zev Love X) – as fans know, his younger brother Subroc was killed in 1993 – tried to release the album on other labels, but met more dead ends. Sadly, it languished in hip-hop purgatory until six years later. Even then, the album had only a limited release via small indie labels.

Beyond the fact that the controversy surrounding the cover – featuring the groups long-standing mascot being hanged by a makeshift gallows – was unfair, the groups fans being denied access to this album only compounded the injustice. Because musically and lyrically, it was a truly amazing record, full of youthful creativity, tinged with the stress of growing up as black men in urban America. Unlike on the groups 1991 debut, Mr. Hood, Subroc had fully come into his own as both a producer and an MC on
Black Bastards, and his untimely death made the albums shelving that much more tragic.

Heavily influenced by the mind-bending spoken word album Blue Guerrilla by Gylan Kain (from 1970), songs like What A Nigga Know (the only single released from the album), the slippery, bass-driven Get U Now and the albums title track explore black consciousness viewed through young-but-experienced eyes. Musically alternating between bouncy and raw – many times both concurrently – the tracks gave both MCs the springboard they needed to express themselves clearly, whether on the catchy, more lighthearted Sweet Premium Wine, the psychedelic, abstract Suspended Animation or the intricate mash-up of television samples heard on the instrumental Garbage Day #3.

Works well to prevent sunburn and stays on while working.
Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 1), Style: Spray
This sunscreen is great! I've worked outside in New Mexico sun for the past few years and this is a life saver. Goes on evenly and doesn't come off while I'm working in the heat.

Fabulous, especially for sensitive skin and those with aversion to textures.
Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 1), Style: Spray
Keeps my skin from turning UGLIER. THIS actually WORKS. I do not wish to be any tanner than I come naturally, and this is the BEST sunscreen I've ever used. I do use a wipe to remove the overspray from my eye area. It does not irritate my incredibly sensitive skin, and sprays on easily..like a dream. No more sandy spf moments!..I can't stand that creamy+oily stuff all over my hands then throw in a little sand - now we have a sensory concern..NOT WITH THIS STUFF!! Highly recommend. Easy to use. KeyWest rays had nothing on this..we came back slightly tan, not burnt, and not a looking like a different ethicity. Reapply as recommend.

Best Sunscreen Ever

BEST. SUNSCREEN. EVER. Seriously. My skin is paper-white and I'm highly tattooed, so sun safety is very important to me. 100 SPF for total protection is unbeatable and I have yet to burn even a little. I'm also very texture-sensitive so I can't stand thick, gloopy, sticky lotions. This one actually sprays on clear, soaks in right away, is light, and even a little bit refreshing. The spray mechanism also makes it easier to get my back without help. There's no off-putting smell, no mess, no problems. I do reapply if I'm out for a while so I'll need to reorder soon, but I'm not mad about it at all. It's very affordable compared to the alternatives and entirely worth it.

Still fried.
Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 1), Style: Spray
Smells good and you don’t feel it after applying it. My son and I still got sun burnt which is normal for our fair skin. I’ve never blistered before and using this I did even reapplying half way through my time of being on the beach for an hour and most of that time under an umbrella.
