Description
The Borla S-Type Cat-Back Exhaust System is custom-engineered for the Volkswagen Golf R (MK8) equipped with the 2.0L Turbo engine and All-Wheel Drive. This performance system features a 3-inch main piping diameter that transitions into dual 2.5-inch outlets, specifically tuned to accentuate the Golf R's signature deceleration burble and gear-shift notes. The S-Type sound profile delivers a sportier, more aggressive auditory experience while maintaining Borla's "No-Drone" guarantee for maximum cabin comfort during daily driving. A unique detail of this system is the muffler cross brace, which features a precision laser-cut Borla logo.
Constructed from premium T-304 austenitic stainless steel, this exhaust system offers superior durability and corrosion resistance compared to factory or lower-grade steel alternatives. It includes fully functional Active Exhaust Valves, allowing for seamless integration with the vehicle's factory sound modes. The system comes with an adapter for a perfect connection to the Original Equipment (O.E.) system, though it can also be bolted directly to a 3-inch aftermarket downpipe for maximum flow. Finishing the unit are quad 4.5-inch round Black Chrome on T-304 stainless steel tips featuring embossed Borla logos, providing a stealthy and high-end performance aesthetic.
