A handsome 19th century French Louis XVI style three-drawer petite commode, circa 1890s, from the port city of Bordeaux, known the world over for its wine. This antique French chest of drawers is handcrafted of meticulously bookmatched walnut and burled walnut, having a rectangular plank top with a beveled edge sitting above three drawers adorned with original neoclassical circular brass pulls. Supported on fluted stiles sitting on square tapered legs ending in brass sabots.
