Everyday Yarn | Bread & Butter

Bread & Butter yarns are made from US grown wool, and are dyed, spun, and finished in the US. 

Named Everyday because we hope you will use it as your Everyday yarn. Made of super soft U.S. Merino wool, Everyday is a soft worsted-weight yarn ready to be made into your favorite cozy hats, mitts, scarves, and sweaters. It is worsted weight (16 sts / 4") making it easy to knit for everyone from beginners to advanced knitter, crocheters, and weavers. It is dyed and spun in the U.S. Round and bouncy, it picks up stitch definition beautifully so a great choice when knitting cables, brioche, and ribbed stitch patterns.

Everyday features 22 beautifully blended colors that Kristine, the co-owner of Verb, created by carding and spinning by hand - as well as undyed natural white (Soft Serve). This palette was influenced by our love of hiking, gardening, and living in the Bay Area, and the colors in it are designed to work well together for colorwork projects. 

Soft Serve is a great yarn to use when naturally-dyeing. 

Handwash only in lukewarm water with pH neutral soap. Lay flat to dry.

As this yarn is blended in small batches, when switching to a new skein, blend the yarn: when reaching the end of the skein, knit one row from the new skein of yarn, and then a row from the old skein of yarn. Repeat for 1-3 rows. 

As each dyelot may be slightly different, please make sure to purchase enough yarn to complete your project.
