Discover the extraordinary life of Noor Inayat Khan in 'Code Name Madeleine', a captivating historical biography that unravels her journey from a serene suburb in 1920s Paris to the perilous world of wartime espionage. This meticulously researched book, published in 2021 by W W Norton & Company, spans 352 pages of gripping storytelling and profound insights into the sacrifices made during one of history's darkest periods. As a talented musician and writer, Noor was raised in an environment that emphasized harmony, beauty, and tolerance, values that shaped her character and resolve. However, the horrors of Nazi occupation ignited her spirit, leading her to join the British Special Operations Executive. Under the codename Madeleine, she emerged as a crucial wireless operator in Paris, sending vital intelligence to London while risking her life amidst relentless enemy threats. Her courageous actions ultimately made her a target for the Gestapo, yet Noor's bravery knew no bounds, as she attempted daring escapes before her tragic fate in Dachau. Description:
Raised in a lush suburb of 1920s Paris, Noor Inayat Khan was an introspective musician and writer, dedicated to her family and to her father's spiritual values of harmony, beauty, and tolerance. She did not seem destined for wartime heroism. Yet, faced with the evils of Nazi violence and the German occupation of France, Noor joined the British Special Operations Executive and trained in espionage, sabotage, and reconnaissance. She returned to Paris under an assumed identity immediately before the Germans mopped up the Allies' largest communications network in France. For crucial months of the war, Noor was the only wireless operator there sending critical information to London, significantly aiding the success of the Allied landing on D-Day. Code-named Madeleine, she became a high-value target for the Gestapo. When she was eventually captured, Noor attempted two daring escapes before she was sent to Dachau and killed just months before the end of the war.
Carefully distilled from dozens of interviews, newly discovered manuscripts, official documents, and personal letters, Code Name Madeleine is both a compelling, deeply researched history and a thrilling tribute to Noor Inayat Khan, whose courage and faith guided her through the most brutal regime in history.

High Quality Comfort!
Color: 01 Sage Green, Size: Queen (90" X 90")
This is definitely one of the most comfortable blankets I have ever owned. The material is thick, soft, warm, durable, and resistant to shedding & fibers breaking off. All of these favorable qualities work together to create optimal sleep conditions, and I would say it protects against cold temperatures in the environment (natural air & A/C, for example) very well. It is SO extremely cozy!!! It has become a comfort item of sorts, as well. It fits my Queen-sized bed absolutely perfectly. I've been searching for a blanket to fit my entire bed, and this blanket most definitely is the one.
When this blanket is nearby, it's nap time!
I love the the slightly raised texture of this blanket's material, and the checkered pattern adds a subtle, yet stylish touch to its overall appearance.

Loving my Bedsure Blanket
Color: Cream, Size: King (108" X 90")
I love this blanket. It’s for summer use & is the perfect weight. I feel both cozy and cool! Plus color & size are as shown. I washed it immediately and it was easy & came out soft; no shrinkage or shedding in the dryer.

Very soft. Light Blue is more of a sky blue
Color: Light Blue, Size: Throw XL (50" X 70")
Very soft, pretty thin, and a little stretchy. Overall, it looks nice. I would say it's a little thin for the colder weather, but great for the warmer months. I got the light blue, and it is a little more sky blue than true baby blue. I wish it were a true blue, but it's close enough that I'll keep it rather than go through the return process. I washed it, and little fuzzies came free, but nothing too alarming for a first wash. Hopefully, it doesn't do that every time. With how thin it is, there'll be nothing left eventually.

Super soft and strong , really nice blanket
Color: Navy, Size: Queen (90" X 90"), Color: Navy, Size: Queen (90" X 90")
This blanket is so soft. This blanket has stretch to it which is nice for tucking under mattress. Easy to lay out and fits perfectly on a queen bed, perfect amount of hangover. Great quality blanket.
I did wash before I put on the bed and it did great. Shed in dryer but that’s easy clean up in vent.
No shedding on bed after washed. I laid on bed before washed and it only shed a small amount, not much.
I absolutely love this material, strong yet super soft.
Definitely a great blanket to buy! You’ll love it.
