The artistry of our Somerset workshop, where each Yetti Sheepskin Chairman Doorstop is handcrafted with utmost care, is certified Green Growth. As a manufacturer of 75 plus years, OB prioritizes sustainability, using hand-selected sheepskin sourced as 100% by-products of the food industry, and responsibly procured from LWG (Leather Workers Group) tanneries adhering to at least a minimum silver standard.
The distinctive long shaggy Yetti wool, boasting a bohemian look, traces its roots back to a Somerset Tannery, Fenlands of Bridgwater, situated just down the road from us. Over 30 years ago, they introduced this stunning look, which has since become popular, inspiring several other tanneries to produce this captivating style, perhaps because of this Fenlands has sadly closed, but it serves as another example of the timeless beauty emerging from Somerset.
Carefully filled with a mixture of sheepskin scrap for padding, followed by bagged gravel and sand for weight, these doorstops strike the perfect balance between being weighty yet padded enough to protect your surfaces. The real upholstery leather base securely encloses the filling behind strong Velcro.
With this robust leather base, this doorstop can move on any surface without causing or incurring damage, granting it exceptional versatility. Moreover, a toning leather carrying handle enhances its portability, allowing you to place it wherever you desire.
