A great addition for any collector. This original WW2 US army issue sniper spotting scope is in great working order and is marked “Telescope OBS M49” with a nice clear 1944 date. The optics are not so good since one of the inside lenses is loose but not broken that I can see but the focus is working. When looking from the obverse end the item is very dirty on the inside - lenses need to be cleaned (I don't do that because I don't want to damage the item). The case is in good shape. See pictures for other minor usage damage. The end still has its screw on protective cover. The original green crackle finish paintwork is in good shape for its age. The item does have a few dings from use during war I imagine.
