The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '67 Stratocaster is a unique blend of tradition and innovation that honors the proud heritage of the Stratocaster family. Expertly crafted with an unyielding commitment to quality, this guitar is a testament to the quintessential Stratocaster sound that echoed through the vibrant music scene of the 1960s.

The body of this masterwork is constructed from 2-piece alder, well known for its balanced and resonant tonal characteristics. Alder's natural sonic properties breathe life into every note, delivering a sound that is as timeless as the Stratocaster itself. Fender's Custom Shop honors the Strat's historical accuracy with a '66 Strat body shape.

Nestled into this iconic body is a matching '66 Strat Oval "C" rift sawn maple neck, providing stability and a classic feel. The neck is paired with a 9mm round lam AAA rosewood fingerboard, boasting a 9.5" radius decked out with 22 6105 / Narrow Tall frets. This imparts a smooth and vintage playing experience, ideal for both rhythm and lead roles. Mother of Pearl Dots, spaced narrowly, serve as inlays adding a subtle charm to the fingerboard.

At the heart of this guitar are three hand-wound pickups: a Strat Texas Special at the bridge, a Strat Fat 50 in the middle, and a '69 Strat at the neck. This configuration offers a versatile palette of vintage Strat tones, defined by their bright, punchy character.

The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '67 Stratocaster wears a Faded Aged 3-Color Sunburst finish, treated with a Heavy Relic process. This gives the guitar an aesthetic that whispers tales of past performances and echoes the vintage feel.

This guitar is not merely an instrument; it's a piece of history. The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '67 Stratocaster carries on the legacy of the Fender Custom Shop, delivering an electric guitar that echoes the iconic 1967 Strat in every way while embracing modern improvements for today's players.

It doesn’t stay in
The pipe keeps coming out. Not worth the money. Not sturdy to hold a top table.

Good finish, poor hardware.
Set screws are poor quality and are sometimes powdercoated on the exposed threads. Leads to striped hex sockets and inability to tighten properly. Durable finish as evidenced by no visible damage after throwing parts across the shop in frustration. Ended up running self tapping screws thru parts to complete assembly.

Kinda flimsy…
Thought the assembly was metal, it’s some kind of PVC.

Stacking shelves
These work perfectly, even in rooms with high ceilings. One thing I didn’t really see mentioned or highlighted anywhere is that they can be stacked. I decided to try it anyway, and it turned out awesome. I purchased two units and placed one on top of the other, which essentially created one tall shelf. It ended up being a great way to maximize vertical space and made the setup look much more custom and intentional
