What is Inula Racemosa Root Powder?

It has been used in the indigenous system of medicine for a long time, in Ayurveda, it is considered a specific remedy for cough, asthma, pleurisy, tuberculosis and chest pain, especially precordial pain.
Health Benefits
In Ayurveda, Oriss Root is used in the treatment of cough, asthma, pleurisy, bronchial asthma, hic-cough, fever, tuberculosis, heart diseases, obesity, inflammation, rheumatic pains, dyspepsia, flatulence and anemia.
Uses & Dose
- Tooth Disease - Oriss Root powder is rubbed on gums and teeth in tooth ache and other oral problems.
- Abscess - Oriss Root powder mixed with coconut oil is applies externally in abscess and boils.
- Heart Disease – One to three grams root powder of Oriss with honey is given in cardiac pain, dyspepsia, cough and hic-cough.
- Cough and Asthma – Dashmool kwath added with Oriss Root and honey should be taken twice a day.
- Pleurisy - Oriss Root powder is specifically recommended in pleurisy.
- Obesity - Oriss Root powder with Guggulu is given twice daily in hyperlipidemia, obesity and cardiac ailments.
- Suggested dose - Powder – 1 to 3 g
