Braele crucii sunt marcate de relieful scoarei n cupru patinat, simboliznd arborele vieii i suferina asumat n materia creaiei nsi. Corpul Mntuitorului este redat prin electroformare, cu detalii anatomice pronunate i expresie facial intens dramatizat.

Acest crucifix reinterpretează tradiția răstignirii printr-o juxtapunere îndrăzneață între figurativul clasic și textura organică a lemnului reprezentat — nu idealizat, ci redat cu fidelitate brută, ca scoarță de copac. Brațele crucii sunt marcate de relieful scoarței în cupru patinat, simbolizând arborele vieții și suferința asumată în materia creației însăși.

Corpul Mântuitorului este redat prin electroformare, cu detalii anatomice pronunțate și expresie facială intens dramatizată. Suprafețele argintate prezintă un joc subtil de luciu și oxidare, care adâncește expresivitatea formei și conferă crucifixului o demnitate sculpturală rar întâlnită în artefactele liturgice de serie.

Elementele metalice sunt montate pe o cruce din stejar închis, în care se împletesc rigoarea geometrică și memoria lemnului viu. Această piesă transcende rolul său devotional, devenind o prezență sculpturală în spațiul sacru sau privat — o mărturie a suferinței, dar și a permanenței credinței.

Amazing book, but unnecessary

I would give this book 5 stars, but at the end of the day I don't think I can. I love flipping through it and looking at the color palettes and seeing the ways the artists communicated ideas through their limited palettes and spaces. There are also little 3D paper arts you can do of some of the sprites, like the fountain pictured above. It has helped me in my pixel art journey and it could 100% help you. The only reason I would say not to buy it is because all of the sprites are accessible online. If you want to understand the art on a deeper level and develop an appreciation for the passion that pixel art contains, buy it. If you want to look at them quickly as references and are an experienced pixel artist, it is not as useful, you could learn the rules just by looking at the sprites online, but you would miss the explanations and writings that help explain the art.

I love this book! I grew up with the NES and this brought back a lot of memories of how as a kid I would get lost in the creativity of what developers of these games made with only some blocks. I love pixel art and this book is great if you enjoy making your own and admiring the work of someone else's and seeing their imagination from some truly great games. This book is small in size but is perfect size to show blown up images of final fantasy pixel characters and creatures, also of places from the games. Also having final fantasy characters from beyond the Nintendo/SNES was a really cool surprise to see if they had been made in that era.
