Last year, on April Fool’s Day, the team at Citadelle Gin introduced their wackiest experiment yet as part of the new “Les Excentriques” family: the pickle gin “Vive le Cornichon’.’
But the joke was… no joke, and the latest member of the Citadelle family found an immediate fan base with bartenders who couldn’t wait to get creative with this briny take on a savory-inflected gin.

Production Notes
To make this surprising, and surprisingly delicious gin, mighty gherkins from Maison Marc are infused in Citadelle's Gin's beloved base. Maison Marc is the last remaining commercial cornichon producer in France, and they cultivate their Cucumis sativus from field-to-jar in Burgundy without insecticides, herbicides, or preservatives. Each cornichon is picked by hand.
These icons of French food culture are perfect partners for Citadelle’s constant experiments with the possibilities of gin.
