Sourced from vineyards with dark lime/clay soils & white limestone/clay/stone soils, the 2020 vintage followed a warm, wet winter and spring frosts that caused minor damage. Despite disease pressure, summer was consistently warm without heat spikes until rains slowed the September harvest of fully ripe, high-sugar grapes with crisp skins. After separate 15-day fermentations, the Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot components aged 12 months in oak before blending. The deep ruby wine shows violet hues and aromas of black currant, cherry, blackberry, Mediterranean herbs, and black tea, segueing to a voluminous palate with fine-grained, silky tannins and a long, flavorful finish.
