MLS gaskets are ideal for both aluminum heads to aluminum blocks and aluminum heads to cast iron blocks. They can withstand the shearing force created by the two materials. MLS gaskets have increased strength because they are comprised of multiple layers of stainless steel; which also creates the ability to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton (a flour elastomer rubber based material that is heat resistant to 250 C/ 482 F). Viton is designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions, and surface finishes. Perfume is super strong

It is so heavily perfumed it makes me sick, but the scent is nice. I can’t handle putting it on so I can’t really tell you if it’s affective for a barrier.

Get a different scent!

The smell is terrible. I bought the coconut & vanilla first, and that one is great. Smells good and lasts long. Thought I'd try a different scent, so I bought the raspberry & rose... it smelled rotten!! Not sure if I got a bad batch, but it was truly horrific. Threw it out immediately. I even put it on the back of my hand to test if the dry down is better; the rotten smell was still there.
