Artists Statement:
The first thing that Gillie ever painted was her childhood rocking horse called Peppi. Gillie was born in Kingston upon Thames in London and her father had it made for her. Gillie was so attached to Peppi that she had him shipped to Australia so her own children could ride on it. Peppi now sits in her studio, so it was only too fitting that Dogman and Rabbitgirl would get the chance to ride upon Peppi too. This sculpture allows us to embrace the inner child in all of us.
