Dive deep into the fascinating world where literature meets cinema with 'Dickens and the Dream of Cinema'. This groundbreaking study, authored by esteemed Dickens scholar Grahame Smith, breaks down barriers between literary analysis and film studies. Published by Manchester University Press in 2013, this book explores the significant influence of Charles Dickens on the evolution of cinema. Smith argues that Dickens' rich novels can be viewed as proto-filmic texts, infused with intricate language and innovative structures that reflect the visual culture of the 1830s London metropolis. By examining how Dickens engaged with contemporary visual entertainments and technological advancements like the railway, this study illuminates his role in paving the way for film as an art form. Perfect for students, scholars, and fans of literature and cinema alike, this work provides a fresh perspective on Dickens and emphasizes the interconnectedness of narrative forms. With the ISBN 9780719055638, 'Dickens and the Dream of Cinema' is an essential addition to any literary or cinematic library, offering a unique lens through which to understand the cultural forces that birthed modern filmmaking. Whether you're looking to enhance your research or simply indulge in a captivating read, Grahame Smith's exploration of Dickens’ impact on cinema is a must-have for anyone passionate about the fusion of storytelling and visual arts.Shipping Notes

Finally, a Spice Rack That Fixes the Real Problem—Access Without the Hassle
Item Package Quantity: 2
I am pleasantly surprised at how handy this spice rack is!! This iSPECLE pull-out spice rack does that others rarely deliver... makes your daily routine just that much easier. The biggest win here is access. No longer having to rummage through a messy cabinet or knock over jars to retrieve whatever you’re looking for. With everything just sliding out and coming up right in front of you. The idea is simple, but it creates a difference. There's your strong point here: the no-drill, peel-and-stick installation. It’s simple and time-saving, which is something. That being said, it still needs to be installed correctly. Use a clean surface, pressure, and time to set. Do that, and it holds well. Overlook that step, and you’ll be blaming the product when it’s all set up for you. The adjustable height is practical, especially if you’re working with a mix of 4oz and 8oz spice jars. It’s not flashy, but it offers a solution to the same annoying problem: trying to cram mismatched containers into a rigid system. What impresses me the most is that it provides some order rather than making things ever murkier. It’s not looking to reinvent your kitchen. It takes a common frustration (buried spices in dark cabinets) and makes it neat and clean for practicality's sake. Bottom line: If your cabinet seems like a black hole of spices, this is an easy, straightforward solution. Not anything fancy, just smart design and it works!

Be Mindful Of The Height
Item Package Quantity: 2
So this spice rack is amazing, if you know what you're getting. I have had a similar one in the past that was just one level. It was great and made organization easy. This being two levels tall means you have to take that into account because it's going to change the shelve layout in your spice cabinet. It wasn't a problem for me and still ended up being a net positive for making the most out of the space, but my friend bought the same ones and ended up sending them back because they wouldn't fit into his smaller cabinet. If you are aware of that going in and know it's going to work for you, they are amazing. They slide smoothly, they hold a ton, and make getting to the items in the back infinitely better. Decent price for such a huge quality of life improvement for my kitchen.

Didn't entirely save me from the mess, but it got close!
Item Package Quantity: 2, Item Package Quantity: 2
I set these up in my little mini pantry that is admittedly a bit of a mess before AND after, but now it's an organized mess that I can navigate with a bit more ease. It fits well in the space that I have, and the rollers are high quality and feel smooth. If organized chaos speaks to you and you've acknowledged that, this is a great fit!

Easy to assemble. Spins well without sticking. The side rails are helpful in hold bottles in place.
